Dear Members,
World Cancer Day 2021 Global Press Release now available
Celebrating the international cancer community’s considerable resilience in adapting and innovating to overcome the challenges of COVID-19, this year’s World Cancer Day global press story is now exclusively available to UICC members in English, French, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Spanish.
To support our members in engaging the media in the lead up to World Cancer Day on 4th February, the template press release is adaptable to your own organisation. We invite you to tailor it with local examples and testimonies as well as include a quote from a spokesperson from your organisation.
Please note: the global press release may only be sent to journalists starting from Wednesday 20th January (in your timezone) at which point the dedicated “Cancer and COVID-19” web page will be launched.
We ask that you do not share this link externally.
Register for the member webinar
We invite all UICC members who plan to engage journalists for World Cancer Day or who are planning to promote the global press story on social media to a dedicated webinar.
