The Malaysian Oncological Society (MOS) provides funding to promising investigators to encourage and promote quality research in clinical oncology in Malaysia. This award aims to fund physicians and allied health professionals in clinical oncology, especially young oncologists. Applications in all areas of cancer research are accepted.
Funding Available
The total award amount is up to RM50,000 for one year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a MOS life member, trainee member, or associate member for a minimum of 1 year at the time of application.
- Working in an oncology department or cancer-related department or institution.
- Eligible applicants are allowed to hold only one active grant from MOS at a time.
The MOS Research Grant Selection Committee reserves the right to evaluate and determine an applicant’s eligibility based on the information and justifications included in the application materials.
Research Project Criteria
The MOS Research Grant is intended to support proposals that address local needs in oncology. Proposals should have clearly defined measurable outcomes for the project goals. The applications are reviewed by the MOS Research Grant Selection Committee.

Award Notification
Applicants can expect to be notified in September 2025 via email from
malaysianoncologicalsociety@gmail.com. All communication regarding applications, including award notifications will be sent to the preferred email address on the applicant’s membership profile.
