World Cancer Day

Tuesday, 24 December 2024

This World Cancer Day is about sharing stories…

No two experiences with cancer are the same. Whether you’re a person living with cancer, a loved one, a medical practitioner, a supporter, or an advocate, you possess something important: a perspective that is unique to you. When you share your views, you bring valuable insight and humanity to the conversation. Your story can inform, energise, and inspire.

Two workshops to get you started…

We know it can be difficult to talk about cancer. That’s why we’re organising two workshops in January to help you tell your story through writing or artwork.

Storytelling masterclass

In this 60 minute webinar, storytelling expert Ian Sanders will open your eyes to the power of stories, why they matter, and the practical steps you can take to craft and share your experience of cancer.

WHO: Open to all (cancer patients, caregivers, policy makers, healthcare professionals…)
WHEN: 22 January 3pm CET
WHERE: Online

Art & creative workshop

Sometimes an experience of cancer is difficult to put into words. Guided by art therapist Jacqueline Carmody you’ll use art as a means to express your experiences of cancer.
