The Merck Foundation, is the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA, Germany that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people and advance their lives through science and technology. Our efforts are primarily focused on improving access to quality and equitable healthcare solutions in underserved communities, building healthcare and scientific research capacity and empowering people in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with a special focus on women and youth.
Merck Foundation together with its partners, is providing Post Graduate Diploma and MSc scholarships for young local doctors in many new specialties including Diabetes, Preventative Cardiovascular Medicine, Sexual and Reproductive Medicine, Endocrinology, Respiratory Medicine, Acute Medicine, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology in Clinical Practice, Clinical Psychiatry, Oncology, Obesity and Weight Management, Infectious Diseases, Women’s Health, Urology, Family Medicine, General Pediatrics, Pain Management, Cardiology, Cancer and Clinical Oncology, Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine, Laparoscopic Surgical Skills, Neonatal Medicine, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Clinical Microbiology and infectious diseases, Primary Care Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Urology, General Surgery, Trauma and orthopedics, Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology, Critical Care, Advanced Surgical Practice, and Neuroimaging for research. All these courses are in English, from reputed UK Universities. We invite applications from doctors from under-served communities for these courses.
